Revealing the space, defining the style

The project began by improving the flow throughout the apartment, which had previously been hindered by unnecessary partitions. With the entrance vestibule removed and the false ceiling stripped away, the space immediately became more open and airy, creating the perfect canvas for an interior fully aligned with the couple’s aesthetic vision. Drawn to the character of the newly exposed and sandblasted beams, Léo and Marie-Laure chose to give their home a loft-like feel, with an emphasis on the simplicity of raw materials. This strong graphic language is enhanced by a rich colour palette, with recurring notes of blood orange and green flowing from the living room through to the bathroom.

The iconic detail

The horizontal lines of the ceiling beams are contrasted by a movable screen in light wood, cleverly concealing either a built-in cabinet or the TV. Set on rails and custom-made, this piece of bespoke joinery brings a playful touch to an interior with a bold visual identity.

In the heart of Paris’s 11^th arrondissement

Between République, Oberkampf and Belleville lies the vibrant Folie-Méricourt neighbourhood. Lively streets, bustling terraces, galleries and artists’ studios make it an urban melting pot where village charm, cultural life and conviviality come together. Here, historic Paris meets contemporary energy, and social life often unfolds over a drink, amid the unmistakable buzz of Parisian life.
