BEFORE
After

Stéphanie and Julien had just returned to France after spending ten years abroad. They were looking for an exceptional property to build a cozy nest in their image. Between their very demanding career and their initial disappointments with their first few visits, finding the ideal apartment proved a real challenge. But when they discovered Maison Kyka, their real estate dream finally came true. Welcome to their home.

The meeting with Maison Kyka

Through attentive listening, Cléa, real estate project manager, understood Stéphanie and Julien’s priority: their need for space and light. She then prepared a carefully curated selection of properties located on the top floor, all with potential to implement exceptional features.

She gave Stéphanie and Julien a tour of this 172 sqm penthouse, complete with its 135 sqm terrace, and they were left in awe of this property’s potential. The couple quickly made an offer and purchased this property, kickstarting the design phase for our studio.

A haven of light

Perched on the 7th and top floor of a 1960s building, this apartment was designed to be a luxurious nest bathed in light, taking inspiration from sixties lofts. In the living areas, the raw lines of the furniture coexist with the timeless chic of the stone fireplace and the marquetry floor.

For the kitchen, our studio opted for strong materials, enhancing a brutalist core with elegant details. The worktop is custom made from 100% recycled materials. The terrazzo floor features graphic shades of brown and beige. Finally, the terracotta claustra partition draws inspiration from the seventies and Mediterranean style.

The children’s rooms are separated from the master bedroom. Our teams played with colours and wallpapers to create a range of worlds to explore. The main colour in the first bedroom is linen blue, paired with a bright and colourful wallpaper. And the second stands out for its striking terracotta clay colour, paired with floral wallpaper. A spacious bathroom with shower and bath can be found at the end of the hall. A stunning glass canopy – made to measure by Fany Glass – was installed above the bath to let plenty of natural light in. Its modern style borrows directly from New York lofts and the 1930s, for a stunning result.

Finally, the master bedroom is a peaceful haven thanks to its animal prints, fluffy fabrics and deep shades.

The iconic detail

Inspired by the hotel Brach Paris designed by Philippe Starck, Stéphanie and Julien wanted to achieve the same warm and welcoming mood at home. True epicureans, aesthetes and urbanites, they really saw themselves in this lively atmosphere. Maison Kyka therefore favoured warm colours, raw and natural materials and creation of bespoke carpentry to create an interior with a collection of small objects, displayed here and there.

PASSY, THE DISCREET CHARM OF THE 16ᵀᴴ ARRONDISSEMENT

Passy is a neighbourhood of understated luxury and timeless elegance, combining Haussmannian architecture, high-end shops and a peaceful atmosphere. Originally a village that was incorporated into Paris, it has managed to preserve its affluent and welcoming atmosphere, with charming narrow streets, traditional markets and breathtaking views of the Seine. Located just a stone’s throw from the Trocadéro, it is a precious corner of Paris where prestige and art of living elegantly coexist.
