Juliette and Maxime dreamed of finding the perfect Parisian apartment for both family life and entertaining. Their goal was to settle down with their two children in the heart of their favourite neighbourhood, near Jardin du Ranelagh and top schools. Welcome to their home.
Once Juliette and Maxime had defined their priorities, Eugénie launched a thorough search for the ideal property. She uncovered a 200 sqm apartment in need of a complete renovation, ideally located and matching the couple’s criteria. After skilful negotiations, Eugénie managed to cut the price by €200,000, giving the new owners more flexibility for their renovation project.
Juliette and Maxime had one guiding vision: to create a refined, timeless interior that aligned with the elegance of classic Haussmann style. Our studio undertook a full transformation of this property, which hadn’t been touched since the 1960s. The goal was to enhance its original charm – Hungarian point parquet flooring, exquisite mouldings, and fireplaces – while infusing it with character. Bold colours and striking tones were chosen to complement these features. Wallpaper also played a key role in the design, as it was used to highlight historic details, and modernise them with a distinctive twist. Floral and animal motifs were featured prominently.
The apartment was entirely reconfigured to meet modern standards, with a full electrical overhaul, integrated smart home features, and a reversible air conditioning system. The street-facing windows were replaced with double-glazed models that were custom-made to look like the originals. Finally, the kitchen now features an induction range and a built-in wine cellar.
The entrance hall sets the tone for this sophisticated family home. The wall facing the door was painted entirely black to add a bold contemporary touch. The statement it makes is emphasised by the Gucci animal-print wallpaper, framed within the mouldings like a piece of art.
With its sumptuous avenues, private mansions, and preserved gardens, La Muette epitomises refined and discreet Parisian living. Nestled in the 16th arrondissement, this coveted neighbourhood is known for its tranquil streets, stunning Haussmann architecture, and close proximity to the Bois de Boulogne. With its luxury boutiques, charming local markets, and cultural institutions like the Fondation Le Corbusier, La Muette is a prestigious area where prestige meets authentic Parisian life.
