The meeting with Maison Kyka

One visit was enough to set the whole process into motion. Anton's project was carried out very quickly thanks to the expertise of his real estate project manager, who hit the mark with the very first property he suggested. Following a masterful negotiation, Anton acquired this 20 sqm (Carrez law) studio under the roofs. Welcome to his home.

Rethinking spaces

Although it had nice assets, such as the three new windows overlooking the street or the oak floor, Anton's home also had many flaws. A poorly positioned kitchen, a very narrow and unpractical bathroom, and an overload of brown all around meant the whole place needed to be redesigned.

Our studio completely reinvented the space, most strikingly by moving the bedroom to where the bathroom was, creating an intimate alcove. That idea was something that immediately appealed to Anton.

A bold creation

Our studio customised the apartment based on a perfect blend of complementary colours. Warm browns, an enveloping blue-green that become vibrant when paired with black and white contrasts.

When you enter Anton’s home, you are immediately surrounded by Sarah Lavoine’s blue from Ressource. This same colour that can be found in the bedroom, complemented by graphic wallpaper and enhanced by delicate details such as gold appliques.

The living room was designed in lighter, patinated tones, to make the space seem bigger. This is accentuated by the wooden floor, which was painted white and aligned towards the apartment’s windows. Finally, the kitchen fades away from the room thanks to the studio's choice to paint it entirely black, adding tremendous depth to the overall space.

The iconic detail

A chocolate wallpaper from La Maison Bineau, with its highly original graphic pattern. It is a true favourite for Anton, who had always envisioned using animal-themed wallpaper.

Bastille, the hustle and bustle of Paris between history and modernity

Bastille is a neighbourhood that never sleeps. Symbol of the French Revolution, it has transformed over the centuries to become one of the most vibrant and eclectic district in the French capital. Straddling the 11th and 12th arrondissement, it embodies the very essence of a vibrant, artistic and ever-changing Paris.
